My Experience

Work experience / Previous employment
September 2011 – September 2012 – I worked as a nursery apprentice at IDA Nursery High Wych. This was my first experience working closely with young children on a day to day basis. I learnt all of the skills I have today during this year. My manager placed me with ages 3Months – 1 and ½ years, this is when I decided that this was my favourite age to work with. I worked closely with the EYFS children’s and young peoples workforce book.


January 2014 – August 2015 - This was my first time being a Nanny, This was an amazing experience and I am very grateful that I found such a great family to work for. The children were Ages 3 and 4, I was in charge of getting the children to there activities, making sure the children were safe and happy, teaching them new things suitable for there age, letting them explore and learn new things in a safe environment. I also was in charge of mealtimes and bath and bed time during my time here. I had a great working relationship with the parents and still keep in touch.

August 2015 – August 2016 - I started a new nanny job in Central London, Looking after a 2yr old little boy. My daily duties would include, Getting him bathed and dressed, Plan fun and productive activities to do throughout the day, Arrange his toys so that he can enjoy fun free play, Take him on walks, Settle for nap time, Light housework, Arrange and take for haircuts and doctors appointments.

January 11th 2017 - October 2017
I lived in Dallas, where I did babysitting for family friends. This was an amazing experience where I got to meet a lovely little family with two beautiful little boys. I had to provide the children with healthy meals, take the children to and from preschool, plan creative activities, take the children swimming and on playdates.

January 2017 – September 2017 –
During my time in the states I also worked weekends babysitting for various families. My duties included settling the children to sleep after a healthy filling dinner, Light housework, Making sure the child/children were safe and happy.

January 2018- may 2019

Nursery Room Leader at a private day nursery in bishop stortford, during my year here I have gained my Level 3 in childcare. Being promoted to the room leader has given me lots of confidence and a bigger insight into child development and well being. I have taken part in lots of different training - health and safety, safeguarding, food and hygiene, characteristics of effective learning and first aid.

September 2019 - January 2021

Nannying for a lovely family with a 1 year old & a 4 year old.

January 2021 -

Nannying for a 5 Month old little girl Monday - Friday.

The past two years I’ve taken time off to have my own child, and am now looking to go back part time to help a lovely family with their children. Please get in touch if you’d like to chat more.
