My name is Lisa, my character is calm yet energetic with a passion for childcare excellence. I am valued by client families for warmth, creating a homely routine and structure which works well for each individual family. I am adaptable and like to meet the needs of both the children and the parents to the best of my ability, also happy to follow the families preferred parenting methods. I am extremely organised and often feel this helps both children and parents with their daily routines. I believe in creating a happy and positive environment for children to feel safe and secure in which allows them to explore contributing to develop their emotional intelligence. For example, understanding emotions, managing emotions, communicating emotions. i believe children learn the best through exploring and I particularly specialise in working with new-borns- three year olds, being a mum myself I am happy to assist in potty training, sleep routines and promoting healthy eating.
My Experience
Prior to having any qualifications I have been a parent myself for ten years, I have worked with several families over the years to meet the needs of their children.
- Changing Nappies and assistance of potty training for child and parental advice.
- Feeding and weaning and providing nutritional lunches and snacks.
-Preparing a daily, weekly schedule of interesting activities for the youngsters.
-Supervising the activities of young children at all times inside and outside.
-Teaching the correct usage of English language, grammar and pronunciation.
-Helping children to discover new things everyday and encouraging them to explore.
-Confronting negative behaviours appropriately.
-Identifying toddlers who may need extra support.
-Teach children appropriate manners and politeness, imbedding a moral code.
-Being a role model and setting an example demonstrating integrity.
-Administrating medicine if required.
- Keeping records, notes of developments, child's interests, food served and any behavioural concerns.

I am flexible within reason and prepared for the working hours to meet the needs of the family so would feel hours are negotiable.
