I am a mature, dependable and loving nanny who has a passion for children of all ages. My energy and independence suits families of all backgrounds with a variety of needs. I have a strong work ethic and an excellent knowledge within childcare and development after studying Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Sociology; but particularly Health and Social Care at A-Level education. I have also attended 'Kings First Aid Training' and obtained a QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid Work At Work (QCF). As well as a full Paediatric First Aid Course (covering both a practical and theory exam).
My experience within childcare includes childminding, babysitting as well as currently working in a nursery part-time. I hold a clean DBS certificate and am valued by many of the families that I have cared for. So recommendations is a prime way of reaching out to new families. I am able to maintain a safe but fun environment for children of all ages whilst ensuring fun.
I hold a full UK drivers license, which allows me to provide a more flexible working pattern. I particularly enjoy being outdoors with the children to explore/develop their endless senses and energy! I also enjoy spending time doing fun, yet educational activities to stimulate their young, active and developing minds!
My Experience
I have experience in children aged 4 months to 12 years where duties and roles were extremely diverse and differentiating. The experience gained from looking after children and babies in other families includes providing emotional support, whilst promoting social support; helping with the transition from nursery to primary school and primary school to secondary school; daily cooking and prepping and lastly organising fun (and educational) activities to do. I have worked in a Montessori Day Nursery, which adds to my experience.
My Qualifications
Health and Social Care, Sociology, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (A-Level QA's).
9 A*-C (or Equivalent) GCSE's including English and Science.
QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid Work At Work (QCF).
BA (Hons) Childhood and Youth Studies from October 2020 - 2024
