About Me
My name is Diane at out n about childminding. I have three children, two cats, our cocker spaniel and our horse, My business is called Out n About Childminding Service and I am registered with the Care Inspectorate. I am a member of the Scottish Childminding Association and provide free funded hours for 3 and 4 year olds and elegible 2 year olds.
I childmind in East Linton. Full and part time places are available from 10 months old. At Out n About childminding we offer a nurturing safe environment and focus on outdoor fun in and around East Lothian.
My Experience
I have many years of experience with my own family now aged 28, 17 and 11 and have been a registered childminder for 5 years. I keep up to date with training through the care inspectorate and local authority providing funded hours for elegible 2 year olds, 3 and 4 year olds. I have completed child protection and first aid training and have experience in theraplay,
aces and trauma.
Our main focus is on getting out and about each day in the surrounding countryside and beaches. We visit the local chickens, farms and parks most days.
We also offer a wide range of curriculum based activities. This includes messy and sensory play as well as daily rhyme time and yoga, baking and open ended play.
Our home has an enclosed garden where we have a mud kitchen and sandpit as well as gardening activities. . We are located in a quiet cul de sac and close to the school and park
My Qualifications
Childcare induction, first aid, child protection, Infection control and food hygeine. National standard svq3 level 7 to provide free funded 1140 hours A member of Scottish Childminding Association.
I attend monthly training through the local authority (east lothian council) to keep up to date with current legislation and practice
