I'm a 22 year old from Ballymena. I have a full UK driving licence
I currently work in a local school as a SEN ASSISTANT with a primary 3 pupil.
My Experience
When i undertook my course, i was given the opportunity to complete a 2 year placement- attending placement every week three times a week. I decided to go to a primary school for my first year of placement, i was placed in a primary 3 class, which had severe needs but worked through all years in the school. My last year of the course i decided to go back to a primary school as i loved taking the role on as a classroom assistant, working closely and alongside the class teacher to meet each child's needs. I went to a different local primary school and i was placed in two primary 4 classes but again worked throughout the different year groups. With this two year experience i have worked with a variety of SEN children such as Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, behavioural problems, speech and language problems, difficulties with maths and English, English as an additional language etc...
I then left school and worked in a local day care centre over the summer, working from babies right up to primary school children, it gave me a wider knowledge and interest into a day care centre and the difference of being a classroom assistant to being a nursery assistant in a day care centre working with much younger children than nursery age. I then went on to work in a daycare and i got promoted to a Room Supervisor i was in the daycare for 2.5 years I then left the nursery February 2023 to work in a local primary school as a SEN Assitant with a P3 pupil. I also have experience babysitting four children aged 10, 7, 4 and 1 year.
My Qualifications
I have 9 GCSE'S, graded A*-C
CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
My Availability
I currently work in a local school setting.- work from 9am-3pm. Free evenings after work. Will be available through the summer Monday to Friday AM-PM(Unavailable 13th July-22nd July due to a holiday)
I also have two part time jobs- work in a restaurant usual work every weekend (Friday,Saturday,Sunday evenings).Also work on a Saturday morning 9am-1pm in a motor factor as a receptionist
