About Me
I am a 24 year old primary PGCE student at Durham University. I believe that I am a patient, kind and fun person who has always connected well with children. I have a long history with children in both a professional and non professional manner.
I have a lot to offer and have the experience behind me to help your child thrive. A lot of my experience comes from working at a residential summer camp in America but I also have babysitting experience with my younger family members.
In addition to my studies I currently work at Hatherleigh primary school as a teaching assistant. I work with all ages from reception up to year 6.
My Experience
My experience with children comes from various places. These include being a professional tennis coach for 2 years, babysitting my younger cousins (aged 2, 5, 6 and 7) but mainly from working at a residential summer camp in America for the past three years. At this summer camp I had various roles but the main and most important one was that of cabin counsellor. In this position I was assigned to a cabin where I was in charge of between 6-10 campers (various ages) throughout their time at the camp. A large part of my job included night times as it was a sleep away camp meaning that the campers lived on campus for up to 4.5 weeks. In this time I developed a huge amount of experience in 'loco parentis' and coached and worked with my campers through their time at the camp helping them overcome the challenges being away from home for an extended time presents. Over the past summer (2022) I was the director of residential life for the camp. This meant I was responsible for all staff members and children overnight.

My Availability
As a student my availability is somewhat changeable and flexible. My availability will be limited to evenings and weekends due to the nature of student life.
