My Summary

Birth Doula
Postnatal Doula

About Me

I have a deep passion for the holistic wellbeing of people, and a desire to support families thrive. This along with my own experience as a parent has shaped my commitment to childcare and my new journey as a Doula.
I qualified as a Doula in December 2019 and have since empowered and supported women in birth, antenatal and postnatal care.

Naturally, I have an empathetic, calm and loving personality, which provides a positive environment for children to develop and learn. I strongly believe that the benefits of a balanced family life extends beyond the home into society and the world.

I have a zealousness for health and fitness so exercise is part of my daily routine and I believe a healthy diet is a key factor to holistic health. Cooking healthy meals is a pleasure of mine and I enjoy creating new recipes and experimenting with foods. My expertise is plant based meals and I am able to cook all different cuisines.

My day to day life consists of caring for my 2 (soon to be 3) year old son. He is currently at nursery part time but I aim to home-school him as I believe this will have a powerful impact in his life which will lead a generational legacy.

My goal is to make an impact in the world through building the foundation of the family.

My Experience

I have 17 years experience in childcare, working with children and families in various settings. I gained teaching experience working in schools as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant and mentor, supporting children and young people ages 3 to 16 years. I have extensive experience with children who have special needs working to support their unique individual needs and inclusiveness.

I worked in family homes as a Nanny for 8 years caring for children sole charge on a full and part time basis. I prepare meals, assist with homework and the daily routine of the children. I build great relationships with families and love being part of children's growth and development by being a nurturing role model in loco parentis.

I have gained new experience as a Doula since 2019 and have learnt to navigate in a new business under the current circumstances. It has been richly rewarding supporting women at such a vulnerable yet victorious time of becoming a parent.

Through my education and experience I have gained skills and qualities that will aid me in any role working with children and families.
