My Requirements
We need a reliable, friendly, sensible and fun nanny to help support with our child care needs. My husband and I work full time - both in the office and from home, with some travel. As a result, we need a nanny to support us flexibly.
Our son is in year 5 in school, and our daughter attends nursery 5 days per week. Most of the time, we just require after-school care for pick-ups. However, there might be periods of work travel, children's illness, or during school holidays where we would need more full-time care. As a result, the salary could be agreed upon to cover the range of hours (e.g., as an average between the two).
A normal after-school day would cover 2:00-6:30/7pm (5 hrs)- including preparing after school snack, school pick ups (at two different schools, within 10 minutes quick walking distance), providing snacks, helping with homework, ensuring that they have had showers, playing/reading with them, and taking to any after school activities as required.
If they are not in school or if additional hours are required, the hours would be adjusted to cover a full day (e.g., 8:00-6/6:30 - depending upon what is happening (10 hrs)). If either child is off of school, the primary responsibility would be taking care of them, which could include include administering asthma medication, according to a set schedule for my daughter.
