Nanny with 25+ years experience (mostly with babies) available immediately for a full time live in position.
I've recently returned to the UK and I'm currently temping with a family in Hampshire part time. I'm available for part time, live out work nearby or live in elsewhere. I'm very flexible with location .
My DBS expired while I was travelling but I remain in touch with the first family I ever worked for when I was 17 ( and several of my previous charges who are now fully grown) who would happily vouch for me and I can provide excellent, checkable references.
My Experience
i have over 25 years experience as a sole charge nanny. mostly with babies up to 6 years. I have experience as a rota nanny, with twins, nanny shares and proxy parenting.
I'm looking for a full time live-in role looking after a baby- or two! I have experience with nanny shares and twins.
I love bonding with a new baby, getting to see their characters develop and being able to help shape their world and their memories. I'm a big believer in child led care and feel all babies settle into a routine that suits them naturally and reach their milestones when it's right for them. A book may tell you that you're child should be walking but a book cannot see if your child's muscles are strong enough to support them yet.
I will ensure your baby always feels safe, loved and secure and will do all I can to give them a love of beauty, nature and others. I'll play with them, sing to them, cuddle the, read to them and take them on outings. I'll also give them space to just be and learn how to do that as I believe constant stimulation is overwhelming and prevents babies growing into people who are content to just be without needing constant interaction and entertainment.
I love playing, doing arts and crafts, reading stories and cooking with children. Not a huge fan of screen time but who doesn't love making hot chocolate, cookies and watching a family movie?
I don't drive- this has never been a problem and I'm happy to walk but it may be difficult in a very rural area. I'm allergic to cats and dogs so pet free (and smoke free !) homes only please.
My Qualifications
No formal childcare qualifications. I jhave experience with all ages, many different faiths and have worked in most areas of London. I can provide excellent, checkable references.
