My Experience
With 5+ years' experience teaching GCSE maths as a secondary teacher and online maths tutor, I have a strong, current understanding of the 9-1 GCSE maths curriculum and exam system.
My teaching ethos is to:
a) Make visible, lasting and consistent step-by-step progress to reach your child's goals;
b) Instil real maths confidence;
c) Ensure a positive learning experience for all.
For every new tutee, I provide a one hour free trial session so that you and your child can feel confident in future sessions being beneficial and enjoyable.
To ensure sessions are fully personalised, I will:
1) Research school specific Scheme of Work to best support school learning;
2) Identify initial gaps in free trial session and continually update gaps through analysis of learning in session and homework;
3) Ensure accessible learning that builds your child's confidence in maths and makes maximum progress;
4) Plan and adapt sessions and homework for any additional needs - please do get in touch!
