Cath’s Cubs Registered Childminder
My name is Catherine and I live with my husband Chris, daughter Connie and our friendly dog Reggie a cocker spaniel.
Myself & Chris are both DBS cleared, and I hold full Public Liability Insurance, Paediatric First Aid certificate, along with training on the All Wales Safeguarding. I have also attended the compulsory CYPOP 5 training course to be registered. I can confirm that I am not a foster carer.
My first language is English; however, I can offer basic Welsh numbers, colours, weather ect.
My home is an end terrace house on a new housing estate - Gatewen Village – New Broughton. I have ample parking available either on the driveway or on the road located in front of the house. I have a spacious enclosed rear garden with artificial turf, ideal for outdoor play activities and equipment in all weathers, there is also a council-maintained play area situated on the estate, with a large playing field and basketball / football court.
I am registered with the Care Standards Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to care for a maximum of 6 children, boys and girls, up to the age of 12yrs. No more than 3 children may be under 5yrs of age and normally no more than 2 of the 3 may be under 18mths of age, though exceptions can be made for siblings.
I offer a quality and cost-effective service and offer the following:
• Flexible working hours.
• Open Tuesday to Friday 7.00am – 5.30pm.
• Open during school holidays.
• School or Nursery pick-up.
• Attendance at local toddler groups.
• Care for babies and children from 4 months old.
• Work with children with additional needs (Further training may be required – to be discussed between parent/carer.)
My Experience
I have been brought up in a childminding setting since a young age, my mother is a registered childminder also. I have 1 daughter, 3 nephews and 2 godchildren.
