About Me
I have just relocated back to the Midlands after 35 years in London. I was born in Wall Heath and spent most of my childhood in Wordsley. I have two sons who are 31 and 28 who still live in London. I am divorced and have an old labrador and cat. I have spent most of my adult years looking after children in either a registered Childminder capacity, Nanny or Higher Level Teaching Assistant in a Primary School. I am currently in the process of buying a house in Wordsley.
My Experience
At the age of 17 I moved down to London to take up a position of Nanny/Mothers Help in Richmond. I then moved to Greece for 3 years and worked as a Rep. I continued working in the travel industry in the UK until I was 26. I then started a family and had two boys, three years apart. I completed a City and Guilds course in Childcare. Whilst at home with the boys I worked as a Registered Childminder with Lambeth until they both were at school full time. I then took a BA Degree in Education and Health Studies and got a 2:1. Following that I began work as a Teaching Assistant at Penwortham Primary School in Streatham where I stayed for 7 years, predominantly supporting children with SEN in Years 3-6. After leaving that position I was a Post Birth Doula for a short while but this quickly changed to taking up Nanny positions which I have continued to do right up until March this year when I moved away from London.
