My Summary

My Experience

In 2011, my first god child was born and that is when I started caring for an infant for the first time! There are now 2 more children with a 4th on the way that I have been lucky enough to care for in that family. For almost a decade, I helped after school, during school holidays and on weekends. I assisted with meal times, bath and bed time, helped with their homework, took them to parks and playgrounds, picked them up from school and babysat over night. During each child's first few years, I changed nappies, gave bottles, bathed them as infants, and encouraged them for all their firsts (steps, words, sitting up).

In January 2020, I worked for a family in Wandsworth, caring for two boys aged 3, and 15 months. My duties as a live in nanny included preparing all meals and assisting the youngest with eating, general cleaning duties such as the washing up, hoovering, children's washing, tidying toys, changing sheets and cleaning general household areas. I would take the eldest to nursery everyday, then entertain the youngest with soft play, music classes or play groups. Once nursery was finished, I would collect the eldest and return both boys home, then we would play with their toys, go to the playground, read, go on playdates or play in the garden. I bathed the children every night and handed over to the parents at bedtime as they chose to read their children a story every night. This family was a relatively screen free family which was no issue. Due to coronavirus, I returned home to Australia and the family have since moved to the countryside.

In August 2020, I returned to the UK and began working as a live-in nanny for 3 children aged 2, 4 and 6. The eldest is a special needs child that requires a lot of patience, kindness and understanding. My duties included preparing all meals for the day, packing the children's lunch for school and preparing healthy snacks. Their favourite meals were roast chicken, lasagne, pizza and soup, this is all made from fresh ingredients and in the healthiest way possible. My role required general cleaning, including packing and emptying the dishwasher, doing the households washing, changing sheets, tidying toys and general areas, hoovering, wiping surfaces with disinfectant regularly and tidying their room. I assisted with taking the youngest to and from nursery, and in the afternoons collected the eldest two from school. I entertainEd the children by taking them to parks, playgrounds, museums, playdates and on long walks, when the weather isn’t as outdoor friendly, we liked to build train tracks, do puzzles, colour in, watch films or play board games. I bathed the children and then read them a story at bedtime, once the children are asleep, I ensured the downstairs area was tidy before finishing for the evening.

In 2021 I looked after two girls aged 1 and 3 at the time for a family in Battersea.

My Qualifications

- diploma of paramedical science
- diploma of science
- currently completing bachelor of biomedical science
- extensive training in paediatric care

My Availability

I am available to start babysitting asap.
Available all days of the week however will depend on my work schedule.
Sorry - not currently looking for full time nanny roles.
