About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Sara and I am 27 year old. I am Italian but I am currently studying Forensic Science in Paisley. I love living in Scotland and I love exploring the Scottish landscapes! I am an easy going and happy person, responsible and I love outdoor adventures! I enjoyed spending time with kids so a few years ago I decided to go to the USA as an au pair for 2 years; it was the best experience ever which helped me to become more independent and more mature! My host family can provide you some references.
My Experience
After High School (19 yo) I babysat for a few families until January 2019 when I decided to go to the USA to be an au pair! Such an incredible experience! I stayed with the same family for 2 years and I loved and enjoyed every second with my host kids! I was taking care of two adorable boys, aged 7 months and 3 year old when I firstly arrived there.
I was there with them when the youngest started to crawl, to walk, to talk, for his first day at school and when the oldest had his first karate lesson, his first sleepover, during his first time baking a ginger bread house, during his first playdate at the park.. and many more memories!
As I was taking care of them for up to 45 hours per week I was doing everything it was needed to make them happy and comfortable, such as feeding them, changing them, giving them a bath or a nap, dressing them and (most important) playing with them and making them laugh all day.
My Qualifications
I have a certificate to demonstrate that I have been an au pair in the USA. While I was there I learnt how to bath/feed/change/take care of a baby and a toddler with extreme safety and kindness. The baby had asthma and the parents trusted me with his medications and his wellbeing.
I am sure you can contact my host parents to request some references - we are still in touch and we have a videocall often as I love their kids dearly.
I don't have a new born experience but while I was still in Italy I babysat a little 5 month old baby.
I do have a DSB check but it is in Italian. Happy to send it if you wish as I can't upload it in here.
My Availability
I am willing to do overnight babysitting during the weekend.
I don't own a car and I prefer not to drive, even though I have an Italian driver license.
I am available to start at the beginning of September 2023.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
I'd like an hour rate of 10£ because I enjoy spending time with kids and I know I take good care of them. I love playing with them and be creative, going to the park or baking some cookies together. Also, I can provide some references. I am the kind of babysitter who helps the parents to clean up the toys or the kitchen after a meal and doesn't watch TV all day long instead than playing. But we can talk about the hour rate and communicate our needs.
