My Summary

My Experience

A little bit about my experience, I have worked since the age of 15 and always been very motivated. My career journey began in a little sweet shop where I worked Saturdays 11-4. I then began to work at Fantasy Island on all the big scary rides haha! However, my childcare career began once starting college to study my level 3 in childcare studies. I have worked in 3 nurseries and one school which has been such a learning opportunity to experience so many different environments. I have manly worked in the baby room the whole of my career so far however, I am very confident with all age ranges. I have also been an Under 2's SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) which is where I look after the children with special needs and make sure they have the care, plans, and support they need from all agencies. I am currently a Room Leader in the baby room of a nursery and I absolutely love it with some much passion, I love being apart of the children's key development milestones and watching change day by day (it's so rewarding). I have a lot of experience with Special needs such as a Level 3 qualification in SEND and NG tub + PEG feeding. I have worked with speech and language closely and been a key member to support children struggling with this challenge, I have also worked very closely with complex needs children. I have also experienced many different teaching methods and parenting skills so I am open to hearing and learning new methods. As you can probably see from my 'about me' bit I leaving childcare to become a Social Worker however, this doesn't change my passion for supporting children's development. I have decided to become a Social Worker because I love being there for children and being a safe space for them and I believe Social Work will give me that opportunity to ensure I can do this to my best ability.
