Hi, I'm Julia and I live in Meersbrook. I'm originally from the Netherlands (with an English mother). I love children of all ages and for me it's a joy to be around them.
I am gentle and caring, very responsible, organized and communicative. It's important to me that parents/carers feel comfortable with how I look after and spend time with their children, so I will always respect and take into account any wishes or needs, and work on building trust.
I'm looking for a part-time nanny position, so if you are needing childcare for about 2 or 3 days a week, I would love to have a chat and see if I could be the right person to look after your children.
I should mention I am not a registered nanny.
My Experience
April - July 2021:
Nanny to a little girl aged 6-9 months. This was a temporary job until she went to a childminder.
August 2021 - October 2022:
Nanny to twin baby girls and school pick up and after school care for a 7-year-old boy.
I'm a qualified Secondary Art and Design teacher with special needs experience (I decided not to teach in the end).
I have had a lot of babysitting jobs in the past and have looked after my nephews quite a bit (who are now 14 and 16).
My Qualifications
- Sheffield Hallam University: Postgraduate in Education (Secondary Art & Design),
- Dutch Film Academy: Bachelor in Film (set design)
During my teacher training, I completed a safeguarding training, a special needs training and a moving and handling course.
My Availability
2-3 days a week, preferably Monday to Friday, but also open to weekends.

Julia worked with my daughter from 6-9 months every morning during the week. she put her down for her naps, went to playgroups with her and fed her snacks and lunch. When I needed afternoon support due to work, she was happy to help out last minute and I really appreciated her help during a difficult work period. My daughter was always excited to see Julia who cared for her with warmth and enthusiasm and I feel very lucky to have had Julia as our nanny. I would definitely recommend Julia!
