About Me
Thank you for taking a look at my profile. I have recently moved to a house with a 2 acre garden in the village of Laneham. very close to Rampton hospital and on the road to Lincoln.
As a trained nursery teacher, and a childminder for over 20 years I have a passion for working with the under 5s.
I have a dedicated, well equipped playroom, although we try to spend most of our days outdoors, visiting play parks, local nature reserves, children's theme parks, like Wheelgate and Sundown, and going on walks. We regularly visit Clumber park and Sherwood pines, and positively encourage splashing in puddles and getting muddy.
When we are home we are very child led, choosing toys and games that the children want to play with and then extending that play, we also do baking and messy play.
We, as a setting, meet up with other childminders regularly so that the children form relationships with other adults and children.
We have sheep and horses in neighbouring gardens and the children are taught to care for them and are allowed to feed them with supervision.
I have three adult children and one gorgeous granddaughter who unfortunately lives in America.
I work with my daughter, Charlotte, who is my registered assistant. She is DBS checked and first aid trained.
