I am a maternity nurse, newborn care specialist and night nanny. Currently available from May onwards- please get in touch to discuss your needs!
I have over 15 years experience in childcare, with babies in particular but also with children up to 8 years, but have worked mainly with newborn to 1 year olds for the past 5years. I have worked as a baby room leader and manager in a nursery, and I have extensive household experience as a nanny, night nanny, twin nanny/night nanny and newborn maternity nurse.
I hold a level 3 childcare qualification, level 4 maternity nurse qualification, and level 3 ‘gentle sleep training.’ I can assist and advise on newborn and infant feeding, breastfeeding support, gentle sleep guidance and coaching, colic, reflux and eczema care and knowledge on all things baby! I have also helped to recognise tongue tie and allergies in newborns,
I have experience guiding babies and young children into great routines and sleeping for longer stretches at night, and have extensive knowledge of weaning and managing allergies (previously worked first hand with children with cmpa, gluten, egg, dairy and more serious nut and fish allergies)
My Experience
-Night Nanny for 2 day old baby for 6weeks (returning customer) finishing at the beginning of May.
-Night Nanny for 1 months old baby. Assisted with creating a feeding plan and liaising with the Gp about changing baby’s formula as they were having digestive issues.
-Night Nanny for 7 week old baby. Helped establish routine and advised on feeding. Recognised tongue tie. Advised on weaning once baby was 6 months and provided weaning meal plans.
-Maternity Nurse for 3 month old.
-Maternity Nurse for 7 week old with feeding trouble. Helped mum to re-establish breastfeeding and recognised a tongue tie issue.
-Night Nanny and Newborn Consultant for newborn up to age 8 months. Assisted with breastfeeding and tongue tie issues and helped baby to sleep through the night.
-Night Nanny position with newborn up to age 4 months, helped to sleep through the night with a dream feed and advised on a gentle routine.
-Maternity Nurse position with newborn for 3 weeks. Assisted with establishing breastfeeding and overcoming colic and reflux.
-Newborn consultant for 1 month old baby with reflux and tongue tie. Helped to overcome feeding issues and get baby into a gentle routine.
-Sleep Training for 6 month old who was waking up 4-5 times a night. Adjusted his routine and introduced a bedtime routine as well as some sleep associations and helped him to sleep through the night.
- Nanny/maternity nanny for two children, a boy aged 1 at the start of the job, and a newborn born during. I took care of the newborn from birth as a maternity nanny and worked some nights. I stayed in this position for 2 and a half years during covid lockdowns.
-3rd in Charge/deputy manager at a day nursery. I worked here for 5 years and moved up from apprentice, to baby room leader, to a management position. Full knowledge of the EYFS, first aid and health and safety training.
-Night nanny and weekend nanny for 3 week old twins.
-Day nanny for 1 year old twins.
-Domiciliary Carer at Bluebird Care for 1 year.
