Hi! I'm Evie, I'm 20, and I hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification.
I've always been passionate about childcare, and used to always help out and look after my younger cousins. I'm quite an easy going practitioner, but I'm used to reinforcing rules, however I always try to handle tough situations calmly and with patience, and try to inspire conversations with the children about why they're upset or angry so that we can try and fix the problem or just hug it out. I always try and have fun with the children, and love joking around with them as well as teaching them new skills and facts. I also love all types of art and so would be happy to do some art with your children, which will help them develop their creativity, imagination, and also their social and emotional development! + it's fun!
My Experience
I have done work experience in 2 different nurseries looking after a wide age range of children throughout the day.
One of the settings I worked in had a large proportion of children with SEN, and due to my patience a lot of them seemed to like me, so I spent a lot of my time working with small groups of SEN kids. I also have a cousin with autism, so I have experience looking after him, although I know not all children with autism are the same, however I believe I'm quite good at picking up on things and good at learning and applying skills to help each specific child. I've also done previous childcare work experience in London, various babysitting jobs around Torbay, as well as a few small babysitting jobs when I was younger.
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE Level 3 Childcare and Early Years Education qualification.
My Availability
I'm very flexible with my availability!
I am free to work through the working week, and can also work weekends if needed, although my rate would increase slightly.
