About Me
I am a mum of 2 with over 20 years registered childminding experience. (phone number, Dunfermline code, 724873), I love to provide a warm, safe, fun and homely , smoke free environment for all the children in my care, as I believe it should be a 'home from home'. I am fully registered & insured (with SCSWIS/Care Inspectorate) with many years (over 20) experience and a member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA). I live with my long term partner and our two children in the quiet village of Crossford very near to Dunfermline (about 1-2 miles).
The village is very close to the Forth Road Bridge, and is near the main route to the Kincardine Bridge so is convenient for travel to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling etc..as well as Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Cowdenbeath. Also convenient for any West Fife Villages such as Cairneyhill, Torryburn , Saline, Comrie, Oakley, Crombie, Blair Hall, Gawk Hall, Rosyth, Limekilns, Charleston etc...
I have many activities for the children in my care including, lots & lots & lots! of Arts and Crafts, jigsaws, bricks, dress-up, dolls house, babies, magi-clip princesses, Little people, toy stables, animal hospital, Castle & knights, cars, Lego, Lego people, hama beads, Loom bands, Toy Story toys, Mr Potato Heads, Ben 10, Fireman Sam, Postman Pat, Scooby doo, spy kit, toy medicine bag, toy tool kit, and more Superheros/villains than i can remember, etc...outdoor play, climbing frame & slide, games, balls, tents, many many toys for all age groups, computers, DVDs, DS, Wii, books, messy time, occasional baking, visiting the local park, woodland walks, library etc.
I take children to and from the local school, local nursery, playgroup and mother & toddler in the Crossford area.
My Experience
I have been a fully registered childminder for about 20 years (with SCSWIS/Care Inspectorate), looking after a wide range of age groups from 3 months to 12 years+. This as well as being a mother of two (Lliam & Meghan) has given me a vast wealth of experience and patience in caring for the needs of all age groups, and personalities! (I've been told on more than one occasion that I make it look easy!) but I think a love of the job and a genuine fondness of children is what matters most.
At an inspection by SCSWIS I was graded as a 5 - very good (out of a possible 6). I was marked as 3 x excellents (6) and 3 x very goods (5) so an overall 5 was given).

Although i received three 6's ('excellents') in my recent inspection, i was graded an overall 5 (very good) out of a possible 6 by my SCSWIS officer.
My Availability
Am available for normal working hours of Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm
However I am willing to start earlier, finish later or even work weekends by special arrangement.
I am available on a full time, part time, hourly, and on a supply only basis if needed and available. Also willing to accommodate shift work where possible, or emergency or 'one off' care. I may also be able to do School holiday cover only, or term time only if needed and I am available, Or if you need anything else - just ask, I'll see if I can make it work!!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £4.25 per hour
Normal working hours Monday to Friday, (8am - 6pm) at £4.25 - £4.50 per hour. Any hours outwith these times I'll be happy to be arrange on an individual basis.

Mandy looked after our Daughter for c3 years and she was nothing short of exceptional from a caring, development and educational perspective. We can not rate this fantastic lady enough.
Everyday our daughter learnt something new. When your child comes home week after week singing new songs, dancing to nursery rhymes and progressing with her speech you know she’s been educated whilst in the care or a true professional.
We can’t thank Mandy enough and would recommend her to anyone. Unfortunately we had to move due to work or Mandy would be our no1 choice, we trust her completely.

Mandy is very kind, caring and child focused. She really put us and our youngest at ease and she has been looking after him since he was 10 months old.
She is very experienced, knowledgeable and calm. My toddler runs into her house and doesn't look back - in fact he didn't want to leave last time I went to pick him up!
She has also looked after our eldest during lockdown and he has come on with her guidance. He has improved his drawing and he enjoyed all the toys!
I can't recommend Mandy highly enough. It's great to go to work and have no worries about your wee ones.

Mandy is a fantastic childminder who has looked after my son exceptionally well for several years now. She is very warm, friendly and responsible and really engages with the children she looks after. My son has really developed socially during his time with her and loves going. I really appreciate how flexible and fun she is and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent childcare around Crossford.

I sent my 6 month old son to Amanda (Mandy) when I returned to work and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder in the Dunfermline/Crossford area. Mandy made sure she knew my sons routine and always followed anything I asked to be done. My son did a range of activities while in Mandy's care and had a good balance between play and walks in the fresh air. I was impressed by how much Mandy put my mind at ease when I went for my first visit - all my questions were answered and Mandy had references and evidence to back up everything she was telling me, just what a first time mum needs!
The best testimonial I can give is the smile on my wee boys face when I dropped him off, he had a great time.
