Hello, my name is Charlotte and I am 24 years old.
I have recently moved to Edinburgh to continue my studies, after having worked in Colwyn Bay as a Primary School Teacher, with children aged 3-11.
I am looking for a part time, regular job whilst I complete my Masters degree. I have a DBS certificate and safeguarding training.
I love to read, hike and paddleboard!
Mindfulness is important to me and this is something I utilised in my classroom.
I have co-edited a book called ‘Mindfulness Matters’ to encourage a child’s mental well being.
I am happy, kind and bubbly with a love for caring for young children. I am empathetic yet firm when needed.
I have an open mind, and I am able to cater for a range of differing needs.
My Experience
I grew up living in a Nursery. My mum owns two
private nurseries, and I have always been enthusiastic about helping the family business.
Therefore, I have had experience with young children from the ages of 0-4 for over 6 years!
Additionally, I have completed my PGCE Primary course, which has given me experience with ages from 5-11. I have worked as a teacher for the past two years, and thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the children. This has been a truly rewarding experience, especially through the difficult year that COVID has presented.
Alongside this, I privately tutor GCSE students for English Literature and Language. I love poetry, reading and open discussions which is perfect for older children who may be struggling with their work.
I also have experience with Additional Learning Needs.
