About Me
Mary Poppins at your service. I have looked after babies and children in England and the the States Born in Canada of British parents we then moved to Maine when I was 7. I grew up on a horse farm and began looking after young children from a teenager and also became a successful chef. We then returned to England when I was 21 where I registered as a nanny and went back and forth throughout my cooking career to children I returned to to Maine 15 years ago with my daughter who went to university in Maine and Vermont. She returned after college and now I have returned to Somerset and Devon am looking for full time or 2 part time nanny positions. I have also worked in the school system in Maine with Educare which is a community based nursery and preschool I was in the infant/toddler room but did do time with the older children. I am looking forward to meeting my next family
My Experience
A life time of experience both in the states and the UK. I focus on early child development using a playful and gentle approach. I also love working with older children . With a background of being a chef, I am happy to cook for not just the child but the whole family. I am a healthy eater and cook. Happy to help out with all the family needs. Including laundry and keeping the house tidy
My Qualifications
A lifetime of experience. I have done various courses on early child development. I have a current pediatric first aid certificate and advanced DBS I am a driver with my own car

Looking for part time. Also willing to stay over night and occasional weekends as well as travel. Available from May 2024

Jennifer is a very experienced, kind and versatile woman. She started when are children were two year old and three months old.
Jennifer really is like a warm hug for the whole family. She cared for all of us in a unique way.
She is punctual, good at keeping to a routine. Very dynamic, caring, creative and enjoys play with a balance discipline.
Great cook, very organised and tidy.

Jennifer has been with us for 18 months and now the kids are old enough to need to use after school clubs and nurseries which is the only reason we are letting her go. She will undoubtedly love your children which I feel is her strength. You can buy love like that! She limits screen time and values outdoor play, books and routines. She is reliable, conscientious and caring. My kids have thoroughly enjoyed having her as a part of the family. She will be missed!
