About Me
I am a marketing graduate looking for some part-time work and think I would be perfectly suited to a childcare.
My two nephews and niece who I have been looking after since birth, back home in Wales, (ages 7, 2, and 1 month) have ignited my love for looking after children.
I have always been the go-to family babysitter and although it hasn’t always been a choice, it’s something I love doing and would never turn down.
I have a passion for floristry and have set up my own small business selling dried flowers. Over the next few months I hope to sell some fresh flower bunches. On a similar note as a little girl I loved making fairy nests in the garden, so this is something I’d look forward to! ?
My Experience
I have built a very close relationship with my eldest nephew, who I often collect from school and look after whilst my sister is working.
I enjoy getting creative with food and making fun snacks and meals which make healthy food fun and enjoyable.
I have always steered away from the ‘stick in-front of a screen’ approach and instead focus on playing games, baking, simple arts and crafts and of course trips to the playground, beach or park.
I also enjoy helping with homework. I especially enjoy helping children learn to read, reading to them, and listening to them read aloud.
I also have experience in childcare for weddings. Although the parents were at the event, I was responsible for three children at once between the ages of two and eight
Additionally, I have done some evening babysitting for a family in Bristol who have a 5 year old son and 1 year old girl.
I consider myself creative and feel this is an important trait to have when looking after children as it really allows you to connect with them through playing and arts and crafts. I feel very relaxed and happy when around children and love how their energy makes me feel uplifted.
