My Experience

I am an artist and illustrator and I help running art classes for children. I also worked as a children's bookseller, as an afterschool club assistant and as a Montessori Nursery assistant. I love looking after children, I am very caring, patient and creative and I like coming up with fun and educational activities, such as painting, crafts, singing and dancing. I am auntie of 4 children, aged 2 to 14, and I help my family and friends babysitting whenever I can.

My Qualifications

From Feb 2022 to Sept 2022, I worked as a Nursery Assistant at Smith's Children Montessori in Cambridge;
From Aug 2017 to Feb 2018, I worked as an after school assistant for Sherpa Kids
at Cambridge University Primary School.

Some of my duties were:
- Managing a daily schedule that includes activities, toilet breaks, lunch and rest time;
- Feeding and changing babies and toddlers;
- Planning and delivering an interesting and educational range of activities, providing a variety of play -and learning opportunities;
- Leading groups of children in specific crafts, sport and learning activities, managing behaviours and adapting the activity to meet the needs of groups or individuals;
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, checking that equipment and playing areas
conform to health and safety standards, devising age appropriate activities and following first-line
child protection measures;
- Being aware of children safeguarding issues and keeping up to date with the the school’s safeguarding policy;
