About Me

Hello! My name is Esthea. I am a qualified Midwife currently working as a Maternity Nurse and Hypnobirthing Practitioner in Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire. After practising as a midwife for nearly a decade, I set up my own business “The Country Midwife” in early 2021 and now independently support families, providing 1:1 antenatal classes and postnatal home support.

Drawing from my own experience as a mother, I recognise the enormous change to life that parenthood brings and truly believe that professional reliable support makes adjusting to life with your baby, so much simpler and even more enjoyable! Giving you the time and space to fully recover from birth and prioritise bonding with your new baby.

I offer a bespoke service, giving you the opportunity to decide what support/care would best suit your growing family. I have extensive experience in providing support and guidance with all aspects of infant feeding, including; exclusive breastfeeding, combination feeding, formula feeding, expressing and problem solving any challenges to feeding.

I will take care of your baby whilst you take a much earned rest, assist you with practical house chores, prepare meals and overall be there as an emotional support, offering you unbiased advice and information.

I can provide daytime visits or stay with you overnight. Whatever your requirements to feel comfortable and calm in your new role.

You may choose to book my services for just the first few weeks with your newborn whilst you adjust to parenthood or perhaps would like to extend this support until your child is 12 weeks old.
