About Me

Hi, I´m Marie-Louise from Denmark.


By profession, I am a certified reflexologist and Positive Psychology counsellor.

I came to the UK in Dec. 2019 and from January 2020 I worked as a Nanny for a single
dad taking care of his almost 2-year-old son and occasionally his 7 yr old daughter.

I was then hired for a short period by a young couple once a week, to look after their
7-month-old son, as the mother needed to recharge her batteries after a difficult pregnancy and labour.

After that, I worked in another Nanny position for two surgeons looking after their two young sons ages 5 and 7.

Summer of 2023 I ended a position as a Nanny/childcarer working for an American Air Force family (with a very good Recommendation Letter). I worked for them for 8 1/2 months taking care of their little 5 1/2 yr old girl.

During the summer of 2023, I have had several short stand-in jobs. I was looking after a doctor´s 9-year-old son with milder multispectrum Autism.

Then a couple, who very shortly visited Cambridge, booked me to look after their 6-year-old daughter with more severe Autism plus a baby boy.

In September 2023 I worked in a stand-in position for a couple of weeks looking after a little 6 months old baby boy.

Currently, I´m working as a Nanny/childcarer in a part-time position until approximately mid-May 2024 then the mother & child I work for, travel back to their home country for around 4 months.
- I will then be available for summer stand-in jobs, probably more than that all depending on what you are looking for. - I am also still open to babysitting occasionally on weekends.


Only working part-time gives me the freedom also to do babysitting and stand-in jobs on the sidelines which I enjoy quite a lot.


I have worked with many people from various parts of the world, within my field of work as well as volunteering, so I am used to interacting with people of all kinds, ages, and cultures.

I am a positive, calm, fun and honest person, firm but fair, who has travelled a lot earlier (and lived in four different countries).

- I prefer taking care of one child at a time. As I get around by bike I am only available in the areas not too far from the city centre.

I am also happy with working short/shorter stand-in positions. On top of that, I am also a huge
animal lover, (dogs, cats) as long as they are well-behaved.

I am fully COVID-19 vaccinated + 2 x Booster and am a non-smoker.
