About Me
Hi! I am 23 years old and graduated from university last summer. I consider myself calm, sensible,
reliable and fun. A natural leader and able to take control, but also a great listener, caring and fair.
My aim is that when children are in my care, they are guaranteed happiness and fun, all whilst they
stay and feel safe and heard. I enjoy cooking, reading, chatting about current affairs and being
outdoors, anything from days on the beach to walks through the local woods, and I would love to
have the children I care for involved in such enriching and entertaining activities during our time
together. I will provide help and support with whatever is needed to keep peaceful, happy and healthy family life.
My Experience
- I have been working babysitting jobs since I was 16, gaining experience in caring for children with ages ranging from 2-13.
- When I was 18, I spent 2 weeks working in a Kindergarten in Germany. My confidence and skill for childcare increased significantly here, as I was responsible for larger groups of children with the challenge of a language barrier. Forming relationships with the children despite some difficulty communicating made this one of the most rewarding experiences I have had.
- During my time at university, I volunteered with a university society that was set up for supporting refugees in the North-East. Every week I spent time looking after young children in the creche whilst their parents were having English classes.
-I worked as a family support worker in a children's care home, working overnight shifts and supporting the day to day lives of the children and teens under our care.
- During school and sixth form I was a peer mentor for a younger student who required some extra help. After school we would, for example, sit and read together or go through homework.
