About Me
We are a family living in Muswell Hill. We are looking for a live out nanny from now help look after my 2y5mo son and 5mo daughter.
We have a science background by profession but love music, literature, and the arts. We are a multilingual house and our son communicates in two languages interchangeably. Our house is full of books and often alive with the sound of music. My son loves to sing and make up words like ‘the wheels on the bin lorry go round and round’. We have a large garden and are walking distance from several large parks. We grow some of our own fruit and vegetables each year and cook daily with fresh produce.
I am on maternity leave until August 2024. We would like at least 3 days a week now and increase to equivalent of 4 days a week in August. Our nanny must be able to offer some flexibility in hours as I will work shifts.
My Requirements
We're looking for a nanny who will join our family to help care for both of our children. My 2y5mo son will likely go to nursery at some point this year (part time), so the nanny will help with drop off and pick up, while caring for my daughter who will be 1 when I return to work. We are looking for a long term nanny who will become a part of our family.
We are looking for someone who is thoughtful and creative with indoor and outdoor play; is patient with developing children’s social, emotional, and cognitive early learning skills; and loves to communicate with children as my son is extremely verbal in reasoning.
As I am currently on maternity leave, and the children’s elderly grandparents live with us, our nanny MUST be able to cope with a full house and adapt to different caring responsibilities should the grandparents wish to play or simply be in the room at the same time.
Some daily responsibilities of our nanny will include help with breakfast and lunch for our children. General play (both at home and outdoors), creative and imaginative play, walks, garden activities, and reading in the daytime. Light tidying up of the children’s toys and books.
Our son is fully potty trained including at night and we practise elimination communication with our daughter (all poos and 60-70% wees in the potty). MUST be able to continue elimination communication for our daughter when I return to work.
MUST be non-smoker and COVID-vaccinated.
