About Me
I am a qualified maths teacher with an honours degree in mathematics. I am currently teaching and have taught maths at secondary schools. I have been a maths tutor for over ten years. I have attended courses on how to teach students who have problems with maths support at Loughborough University.
My Experience
I have worked in special needs departments at local secondary schools. Teaching maths in my zoom classes has been described by my students as cool and fun. My primary aim in my lessons is to ensure maths concepts are understood. Once this happens we work on ways to ensure that any methods used become embedded and can be applied by the student. I have worked with mostly secondary school students but have successfully tutored students from age nine to GCSE and A levels.
My Qualifications
BSc ( Hons ) Degree in mathematics. MBA . Post Graduate Certificate in Education PGCE . Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. Certificate from Loughborough University in Supporting Dyscalculic students where worked on developing and using teaching methods and resources to cater for different learning styles.
My Availability
I am available after school Monday to Thursday and Saturday mornings.
