About Me
I have two grown-up sons and 8 years of experience working in education and am back in Shropshire after working away as a live-in carer. I am well-educated, energetic and enthusiastic and would love to work with children again. I am widely travelled, very much a people person and am adaptable to different environments with the ability to get stuck in.
My Experience
I was a full-time mum to my two boys and engaged in every aspect of their lives and whilst my youngest was at pre-school, I worked for 18 months at a different pre-school. I have 8 years experience as a learning support assistant working in secondary school and sixth form college with students with a wide spectrum of needs, one to one, in small groups and in class. I have been working in care since September 2020 culminating in two live in care roles for two private families where I was responsible for every aspect of my client's daily life. This involved personal care, getting dressed, giving medication, arranging social visits and medical appointments, companionship and cooking freshly prepared meals every day.
My Qualifications
I have a BA Hons in English Literature, I also have some counselling qualifications and I have completed all necessary relevant training whilst working in the care sector.
