About Me
I am currently based in West Yorkshire with plans to move toward Greater Manchester soon. My main interests include art, performance and music. In my spare time I practice photography, videography, sculpture and performance making. I am a graduate in BA Performance Design and Practice from Central Saint Martins. This course involved a lot of collaboration meaning I am used to working on projects with other people and towards tight deadlines. My artistic practice focuses on educating in new and digestible ways through set design, costume, performance and film making. Through my experience in childcare I have been inspired to combine my artistic and childcare skills and with future ambition to work creatively with children.
My Experience
SEND Nanny/Educator (January 2023-February 2024)
From January 2023, I worked full time as a carer to a 8 year old boy with multiple disabilities. His profile includes severe autism (non speaking), ADHD, ARFID and a rare genetic variation of Noonan syndrome. He also has Asthma and partial hearing loss. I would often attend various appointments with him when parents were not available. This child was specially educated and needed full time care and supervision. We would communicate using Makaton, PECs and an AAC device. Together we would go on outings across London and I would plan and carry out at home learning activities catered to his needs.
SEN nanny, London (September 2021-July 2022)
From September 2021 I worked with a family with two children aged 3 and 7. My main role with this family was to care for 7 year old boy, who lives with ASD. On weekends I would care for both this child and his 3 year old sister.
Part time nanny, London (September 2020-August 2021)
I worked as a Part Time nanny attending to 2 children aged 11 and 13, picking them up from school, helping with homework and hobbies.
