About Me

I am a kind and caring individual with a love for working with children - I am clean and organised, with a firm but fair approach to childcare. I am currently studying Primary Education at university, and I understand different ways to help child development. As well as this, I have been raised as part of a fostering family, with my family helping over 20 children and their parents throughout the past 5 years. I enjoy cooking and baking, and always love to have a little helping hand if they also enjoy this activities. I also love arts and crafts, and activities like drama, singing and acting. I will also help with school work if needed - I am learning new teaching methods every day through my degree, and hope to help your child understand difficult topics if I can.

I am always willing to follow whatever rules parents have set in their household for their children, and aim to lead by example - I believe that children learn through observation, and I aim to be a role model for whoever is under my care.

I think it is important to meet both child and parents before beginning care for the child, so that your child is able to feel comfortable around me, and this gives me a chance to find interesting activities for us both to take part in if the time allows.

I am DBS checked - both through university and the fostering agency - as well as covid vaccinated. I have also had experience with children with additional needs during my time as a foster carer and student teacher.
