About Me
I’m a retired, primary school teacher living in Ryde. I like looking after children and particularly enjoy reading stories and poems. I’m, obviously, more of a grandmother figure than a young carer! I’m looking for babysitting work in the evenings, anywhere on the island considered.
My Experience
I am a retired primary school teacher. I have been a deputy head and SENCO. I taught for 20+ years so I’ve got lots of experience working with primary aged children. I have recently been working as an exam Invigilator in a high school and hosting foreign students in my home so I am also used to teenagers. I care for my own grandchildren and have done since they were born. I would say that I am more suited to looking after toddlers and older children than babies.
I’m used to interacting with children and enjoy talking to them, watching and discussing films, playing games or craft activities.
