About Me
I am a 34-year-old first time mum who lives with my husband, my daughter and our tortoise Theo. I work 4 days a week as a Teacher of the Deaf and my husband is ex-military and now works as an engineer for eurostar. He works a 6 week shift pattern of day, late and night shifts.
My Requirements
I have an almost 18 month old daughter who attends nursery 3 days a week. The other days she is either with me or my husband. We don't have a village, or any help and I am often left solo-parenting when my husband works for days/nights at a time. I often find I need a break or a few hours to run errands or sleep or shower and at times, another adult to talk to. I saw in a mum group that others in my situation have hired an adhoc babysitter for times such as mentioned above and have found it has worked really well. Therefore I am looking for someone who is flexible, can do adhoc hours, a few at a time, for mornings/afternoons. It would be great if they were also an option for emergency daycare if my husband and I both need to work- or fancy an evening out.
