About Me
I have lots of experience caring, teaching and playing with children in my professional life and personal life. I understand the importance of first hand experiences, exploring and learning outdoors as well as indoors. I believe that reading stories to babies and children is one of the most valuable activities to do to support their language, listening skills and imaginative skills. It helps them ask questions and it is the building blocks to support the development of reading and writing skills.
My interests are baking, cycling , swimming, reading, knitting and theatre. I am fit and healthy and enjoy working, playing and laughing with children.
I am reliable and caring and I understand the importance of listening to what parents want for their child to enable us to work together to ensure the child's best interests are met.
My Experience
I am a recently retired Early Years Teacher with a wide range of experience in children's language development, emotional development, social development and developing children's play. My professional experience also involved teaching young children with special needs.
I have 4 grandchildren under 6 and so have current experience with babies and toddlers.
My Qualifications
Bed (Hons) degree in Early Years 3 years to 7 years
Post grad certificate in Special Needs (Autism)
