My Summary

My Experience

I currently work as a Learning Support Officer in a local primary. My day to day role involves assisting students in the classroom and helping them build confidence in their ability to achieve, academically and socially. In addition to this it is also my duty to maintain a safe environment for the children. This role has made me realise my passion for teaching and working with children in which I have decided to complete my PGCE in order to become a qualified Teacher.

I have recently completed a degree in Health and Social Care Science in which I achieved a 2:1 Upper Class. During my degree I learnt a considerable amount about working with children where I studied modules that include children's rights and maintaining the safety surrounding children and working with theories on child development.

During school I was also apart of a Young Leaders group, called Arweinwyr Ifanc. Urdd Gobaith Cymru is a National Voluntary Youth Organisation with over 55,000 members between the ages of 4 – 25. The organisation offers opportunities through the medium of Welsh for children and young people in Wales to enable them to make positive contributions to their communities.
My role within this organisation was to teach sports to individuals of all ages through the medium of Welsh. This taught me a great understanding of leadership and management skills.

My Availability

My availability is Tuesday evening from 4:30,pm Thursday from 4:30pm, Friday from 4:30pm, Saturday from 11am, Sunday 11-4pm.
I am also available during half term.
