About Me
After having my own children (2 daughters, aged 4 and 7), I made the decision to move from running a school, to doing the school run! My work-life balance needed a rethink and thanks to home-schooling a 4 year old and having a babe in arms through a global pandemic, I found my calling as an early years educator in my own home and my childcare business, Growing Minds, was born!
My Experience
I have worked with children and young people throughout my career, in various roles (nursery assistant, teacher, senior leader, SENDCo, DSO, private tutor and university lecturer) and have always had a passion for teaching and learning. Since I was old enough to babysit, I have looked after children. I have always found working with children and young people such a rewarding and enjoyable job. Having been a teacher for many years, I have lots of experience and resources, which has been extremely beneficial to the children in my care.
My Qualifications
MA in Education, Leadership & Management
PGCE in Primary Education
BA Hons in English and Drama
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare
My Availability
I can be flexible with hours, but I need to work around the school runs -- most children get to me either before 8.30am or after 9.15pm and are collected by 2.30pm or by 5.30pm.
I only drop-off and pick-up from the local infant school for before and after school hours. I’m very flexible and will try to accommodate where I can!
