About Me
Hi! My name is Zara and I am a first year undergraduate philosophy student. I love working with children, and I would enjoy spending more time doing that in the lead up to second year, as well as during my studies. I am a hard-worker, and I can both listen to instructions as well as being proactive and providing activities for children. I am a very creative person, and so I am very happy to spend time with children doing arts and crafts, writing, playing instruments and singing.
My Experience
As well as lifelong experience with three siblings, I have over four years of regular babysitting experience with a few different families, with children from the ages of 4-13. Alongside this, I have spent the past few weeks working with a teaching agency and going into primary schools as a teaching assistant. I have also spent a few weeks looking after a 15 month old, as well as a family with a 4 and 7 year old. Whilst I was in sixth form (2020-22), I was a leader of a club at my school, and had to provide activities and facilitate discussions with 11-16 year olds. During lockdown, my parents were still working, and therefore I helped my 9 year old sister with her home-learning, from helping her complete tasks set by teachers, to coming up with creative activities and literacy lessons. In 2019, I spent two weeks of work experience in a forest nursery, working with 3-4 year olds.
