Hi there,
I am a single mum to an autistic teenager and I currently work as a civil servant.
I worked as a teaching assistant for a number of years. This was so I could work and fit this around own caring responsibilities, without having to paying a small fortune out in childcare fees. I loved my time in education and if the pay was a bit better, I probably would have stayed.
My Experience
I have worked in Primary, Secondary and college settings as a learning support assistant. I have a level 3 teaching and assessing qualification and a First Aid At Work Qualification. I have worked within mainstream education and Special Educational Needs. Also with children/ adults who have physical disabilities. I've also babysat for family, friends and neighbours, including being a mother myself

My Availability
I do a mixture of working from home and in the office and there's a degree of flexibility in the hours I work each day. Ideally I'm looking for evening/weekend babysitting but I may be able to help out during the day depending on the circumstances.

I know what it's like to pay a large proportion of your wage out in childcare fees so depending on the circumstances my rates can be negotiable depending on the requirement.
