My Summary

My Experience

I have had experience in childcare settings for 2 years, working with ages from 0-5 years. I was required to complete 750 placement hours for my childcare course in college, these were completed in a nursery setting and primary school reception class. My roles here involved interacting with the children, delivering ideas for play and crafting. Once I finished college my nursery placement hired me as a full time practitioner. I worked here for a year, my primary role was as a preschool room leader, this is the age range I have most confidence and experience in. My role at the nursery was to encourage play and learning through various development stages, contributing to meal times, including snacks and lunch. Once I was officially level 3 childcare qualified, I was able to partake in settling children for nap time, having my own key children to work with, liaising with parents and family members at pick up and drop off, changing nappies and toilet time trips, and having a group of up to 6 in my own individual care.

My Qualifications

I have GCSE maths, English and science above a grade 4, I am a qualified practitioner with a level 3 CACHE diploma in childcare and education. Currently working on my university honours degree.
