My Availability
A little bit of background about me. I'm a trained actress and I have been a nanny and governess (working in Russia) for a total of 12 years. After having my little girl, Goldie in 2022 I decided I didn't want to go back into Governessing/nannying so came up with the idea of opening a forest school style childminders so that I could be with my daughter and still do what I love, caring for children. You are more than welcome to come and have a look at the setting now that I’ve had the go ahead from my childminding agency. I'm planning on being open from 8am-6pm, Monday- Friday. Ideally I would like children who are walking as we are mainly outside so not really very keen on young babies crawling.
My husband (also a trained actor) also works with children and will be leaving his job after Christmas and joining me at Wild Things. We are a forest school style childminders so our learning and play will be 90% outside. We have a big garden with mud kitchen, music wall (soon to arrive) Wendy house, climbing wall, sandpit, den building corner, fenced off pond with wild life, slide, see-saw's, stepping stones, cosy-coup cars, scuttle bug scooters, childrens wheelbarrows, children’s gardening tools and lots of herbs, berries, vegetables and fruit to eat.
We also do have an indoor area in the playroom with huge busy board, foldable climbing frame and slide, reading den and various different Montessori style toys. This will also be the room where toddlers sleep too, I have a blackout blind, sleep mats and sleeping bags. I plan to stay in the room while the children sleep.
I will provide all meals (home cooked from scratch) healthy snacks and nappies, wipes, cream etc
