I have a Masters degree in English Literature (which I'm more than happy to tutor in if needed). Currently I am working as a writer which means I can work my schedule around you.
I love reading, writing and being creative and have done several workshops with children teaching them how to use crafts like clay, sculpture and bleeding tissue paper (imagine painting with just water and tissue paper, it's a lot more fun and colourful than it sounds!)
My Experience
I have years of experience looking after children, from babysitting younger cousins to working as a camp counsellor in a summer camp in America for three years. I come from a big family so there's always been a baby to babysit or child to watch so I'm experienced around babies and children of all ages.
In 2018 I completed my teacher training PGDE where I worked with children from Primary 1 - Primary 6,teaching them everything from Literacy, Numeracy to PE, Art and Drama. In this course I learned how to teach through play in addition to many positive behavioural strategies that I believe is so important in a child's development.
As a Camp Counsellor I worked with children aged 4-18 and it was such an honour to see the children progress and grow year after year.
My Qualifications
- English Literature Masters (with Distinction)
- English and Creative Writing BA Honours (first class)
My Availability
I'm available most mornings and afternoons. I could even swing things around on Fridays if you needed me then.
