I am a 19-year-old female born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. While my family has strong roots in Madeira, Portugal, I identify as both South African and Portuguese. Growing up, we were fortunate to have our grandparents living across the street, and a few cousins residing in the area, fostering a strong bond with my family. Being family-oriented is a significant part of who I am. I consider myself hardworking, spontaneous, friendly, honest, warm-hearted, and open-minded. Whenever I'm given a task, I give it my all to complete it to the best of my abilities. As for my friends, despite going our separate ways after school, I am still relatively close with a few of my high school friends which is great. – I’m always ready and excited to meet new people though and create new bonds.
My Experience
I have had valuable childcare experiences caring for children of various ages and backgrounds. One particular instance included two energetic and curious boys named Rhys and Sam who I occasionally babysat. Spending time with both youngsters was a genuine pleasure because of their limitless energy. We would play soccer, cricket, go on walks, draw, and play card games while taking care of them. This experience taught me the value of creativity, flexibility, and patience when raising kids. Additionally, I saw first-hand the effects of encouraging a loving environment and providing positive reinforcement. I felt content and somewhat fulfilled by being able to see them develop and grow while also knowing that I had played a small part. It was a rewarding experience that taught me valuable life skills.
My Qualifications
I completed high school in Cape Town, South Africa and am currently completing my online degree in the UK, I am studying for a BA in Psychology and wish to pursue a career on the children side of Psychology
