About Me
My name is Jodie and I am a 26 year old woman who has her heart set on children and getting the best from them. I have lived with them, studied them, worked with them and even birthed and am raising 2 of my own. My whole life I've known that working with children is something i was passionate about doing, and have always been recognised for being amazing at it. At school I studied health and social care for GCSE, which I passed, alongside English, Maths and other relevant GCSES, which opened up doors for me to go to college. I then went to study level 3 in Children and young peoples workforce and qualified in the theory and practical side of things when doing my placement hours. Throughout my placement hours, I was recognised by various members of SLT, and praised a lot for my skills and high interactions with the children and built strong connections with families and children . At the end of my course and placement hours at only 18, a job was created for me at my placement, as my qualities were 'too good to let go'. This is the job I am still currently at, after working there for 6 years. I consider myself someone who is quite easy going but proactive with children and their early years, building on their imagination, curiosities, self confidence and self esteem. I am most definitely compassionate and a loving person towards children and always have maintained strong, positive relationships with all children, and families I have worked with. I am now looking to take the next step in my career by stepping out of the nursery environment to become a nanny, and I am ideally seeking a long term position, where I can play a key role in children's learning and development, whilst allowing them to have fun on little adventures.
My Experience
I have 6+ years experience of working with children as an employee and two years prior to this as a volunteer, which is how I got my job. I have always been employed as a Nursery Nurse, or Teaching assistant in the workplace. However, through my job, I have been taken on by parents at the school, word of mouth recommendations, and even my boss to do babysitting, after school pick ups and private childcare through school holidays. Since working at my current position I have had training for Speech and language (including bucket) , safeguarding (including GDPR) , health and safety, Pediatric first aid training (including EPI Pen) and have also had practical training, such as working alongside children with different needs, children who are EAL, and basic day to day skills of team work, working and communicating with parents, and high level interaction and play with children. The skills I have grasped throughout all my training and childcare experience, I am able to confidently use and have used, keeping the children's needs and best interests at heart.

My Availability
I am currently only working 3 days a week (Monday-Wednesday). However, I'm hoping to find a long term position that I can pursue my nannying career with, either part time or full time and would be willing to leave my current job for that right family.

My Fees
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
I have two children myself who would be at school and nursery for the whole day through school term but would need to come with me before and after school and would have to be a part of my daily routine for drop off and pick up time. However I am happy to negotiate a lower price for a family who is happy to work with me.
