About Me
Hi my name is Claire Wilson. I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and am also a qualified Primary School teacher. I have all the relevant qualifications and am a member of PACEY
I believe in the importance of learning through play and offer a warm friendly setting in a safe neighbourhood. I love creating interesting invitations for my mindees to explore using authentic loose parts.
Children in my care will take visits to local parks and woods and visit local playgroups.
My Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher and have taught in the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2), and Year 3 and 4. I have also volunteered in Nurseries. I have experience working with children who are autistic and other children who have special needs.
I am a registered childminder. I offer government funded spaces for 3yr olds and some 2yr olds. I have a Curiosity Approach Accredited setting and I am working on my Hygge in the Early Years Accreditation.
My Qualifications
I have a : PGCE (Quailfied teacher status)
Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Emergency First Aid at work certificate
Level 2 award in Food Safety in catering
Safeguarding children and young people
I continue to expand my knowledge of working with children through online courses and
conferences, reading blogs, books and articles.
My Availability
My hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 5.30 but I am very flexible. I have vacancies for both full time and part time contracts.
I offer government funded spaces.

My son has been attending Claire's home since he was six months old. He simply loves her and the activities they do, which are varied and aimed at the children entirely. He has been free to play, learn and has been taught so many things, it's a joy to see what he will come home with next. Highly recommend Claire for a safe, kind home setting for babies and up!

Claire has been looking after my daughter for the past year and I can not recommend her enough. She offers an excellent friendly setting for your child and tailors all the activities to their needs and likes and has developed excellent relationships both with myself and my husband but also our daughter.
