About Me
Hi, I have been a registered childminder for 23 years now, and achieved an 'outstanding' rating at my last inspection, and also the previous inspection. I live in Springhead, Oldham. I have 2 children aged 23 and 20 and my partner also works with me. Everyone in the house has been CRB checked. I am actively involved with Oldham Early Years. I am accredited and am on Oldham's Childminder Network and have my Quality Assurance award and in 2012 did my NVQ level 3 diploma in Childcare. I regularly attend training sessions and have embraced the EYFS framework within my setting. The children I care for are very happy, and I have made many friends over the years who I love to keep in touch with to find out how the children are doing.
I also have a dog - a black labrador called Jasper who is very friendly!
My Experience
23 years, with just a 3 week break when I had my daughter 20 years ago. I have had some experience with special needs, including looking after a profoundly deaf 15 year old, a Down's Syndrome child and children with autism and various learning difficulties.
My Qualifications
I had a degree prior to starting my childminding career, then over the last 23 years I have done my Quality Assurance award, level 3 diploma in Child Care, First Aid training, Food Hygiene, Child Protection, various Play and Development courses and workshops as well as the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) training which has been very extensive. The pinnacle of my achievements was being awarded outstanding status at my last 2 inspections.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 5.30pm, though I can be flexible if required. I pick up and drop off at local schools and nurseries too, in the Springhead area.

My Fees
I charge £4.00 per hour.
If I am off for any reason (holidays or sickness) I charge half pay
Parent/child sick and occasional days, including bank hols full pay.
Parent/child holidays half normal pay.

Annette is the most incredible childminder. It has been a couple of months since my child has moved from her care to nursery in a school, and my daughter still talks about "Miss Annette" and asks when will we be going back there. It was truly a blessing finding Annette, and I always felt so safe and secure leaving my daughter there, as you can tell it is more than a job for her, she truly loves the children she looks after. I would recomend her to everyone!
