Fran Bow

Amazing!

Fran provides what I believe to be the highest quality of care to our 16month old daughter, who has been in Fran’s childcare setting since around 8months old. Fran creates a safe environment for our daughter to learn, play and socialise in and our daughter’s speech, movement and social skills are so much further developed than what I believe they would be if she had not been in Fran’s care.
As parents, we are communicated to regularly and efficiently through calls, messages, the private Facebook group and our daughter’s personal book with all her daily information completed about her behaviour, meals and nappies. Fran provides a wide variety of nutritious meals and I am confident my daughter is safe and well cared for under Fran’s care. I also feel Fran is extremely approachable and so if I was ever to have any questions or concerns, I would be comfortable asking Fran and would no doubt be reassured by her answer. Fran is also extremely flexible and understanding of our needs as parents.
Fran provides a wide range of suitable activities including trips out, soft play, indoor and outdoor activities to name a few, always themed to the time of year.
Fran always goes the extra mile, providing birthday parties for the children and we are even given homemade gifts/cards ourselves around birthdays, Christmas, valentines etc which is so lovely to have as a keepsake made by our little one without us having done it ourselves!
Our daughter absolutely loves Fran and thrives in her setting, she enjoys playing with her friends and her face lights up when she sees them and Fran. Fran goes above and beyond in every way possible and I would absolutely recommend Fran to anybody looking for childcare.

Highly Recommended

We first took our son to Fran a few months after withdrawing him from our previous childminder. With the previous childminder he'd got to the point he'd be really upset every time we dropped off, and unhappy throughout the day. With him being our only child, and him only really being around adults, we were keen he spend a day or two each week around kids his ages to help his social development and get him ready for school, but were doubting whether it would be possible. After talking to Fran it was clear she knew exactly how to handle this sort of situation. She gave him the care, support and understanding he needed to settle in happily, and gave us feedback to let us know how he was getting on. He's now at the point he's happy to be dropped off, and always playing happily when we go to pick him up, telling us about the fun thing he's done on the way home. She's continually demonstrated that high level of care and knowledge throughout the year and a half she's been looking after him.

In our last health visitor check our son's development was well above average for his age, and I think a big part of the credit for that has to go to Fran. She's helped him develop at his own pace, supporting and challenging him to take the next steps in his development by doing things like helping him with practical things like learning to put his shoes on, helping him develop socially with the other kids, doing things like arts and crafts, and regularly going on fun and educational trips to introduce him to different activities. She's prepared nutritional home cooked meals for him, he's got a healthy and really varied diet, and is always willing to try new things, again I think Fran has been a big part of that. With him being our first child she's also helped us, she's always been very approachable for help and advice, and been really understanding when drop off and pick up times haven't gone to plan.

We couldn't be more pleased with the care Fran has provided, and couldn't recommend her more to other parents.

feels like 2nd home for your kids

When I was originally searching for a childminder, I met and spoke with few, but none felt right.
I couldn't believe my luck when I met Fran. My intuition told me that she was the ‘right one’ and she
has well exceeded my expectations!
My first child who will turn 7 this year, has been in Fran’s full-time care from the age of 10 months to
nearly 4 years old and during this time has grown into a happy and confident little girl. Fran has
played a huge part in Zosia’s development in that she has given my child guidance in manners, play,
sharing and of course her loving care. We felt that it was a second home for Zosia and due to the fact
that we don’t have any close family here we felt really pleased with a close relation that built up
within this time. A few months ago, my second child, Franek, who has recently turned 2, has gone in
to Fran’s care. This was an easy decision this time and I have been able to go to work relaxed,
knowing that he was safe and well cared for.
Fran is excellent at organising time for the children, with daily activities such as playgroups, park,
farm and crafts. She also takes the children on a wide range of activities and visits throughout the
holidays. She is very flexible in terms of dropping kids off and picking them up and she keeps us
updated on kids’ daily activities, also on the Facebook page – love the pictures! I have always been
able to discuss with Fran my kids’ progress and care on a daily basis. Her house is always clean, warm
and welcoming – proper family house. There is a plenty of fun and play equipment and early learning
tools (books, jigsaws etc).
I cannot stress enough how I would not hesitate to recommend Fran as a childminder and have
found her to be extremely competent, conscientious and trustworthy. I was more than satisfied with
everything Fran did with my daughter and I know and feel confident that Franek is well supervised
and has a lot of fun.
