About Me
Hi my name is Maria. I have been an ofsted registered childminder since 2011. I was recently inspected in July 2023 with a GOOD grading. I live with my husband who has his own business which is a car body repair centre and our four beautiful children aged 14 , 10, 7 and 1 years old, 1 cats and puppy in a semi -detached property.
I really enjoy spending time with the children watching them learn and grow mentally. We attend weekly playgroups, parks, soft play areas and when we are at home we do drawings, paintings,baking and free play and lots more.
Our large size garden is fully child friendly with swings, slides, tunnel, play house, trampoline and large grass area.
As a parent I know how hard it is to be away from your child as I had to do this when my son was 9 months old which was very upsetting but as my sister is a childminder it was a little easier for me but still very upsetting as you just want to spend every moment with your child. But some families are not as fortunate as I was and as a parent sending your child to a stranger is very hard so I 100% understand. We understand that your placing your full TRUST in me and my family to watch over your child or children while you are unable to, and we offer all children who come here great care, love and stability. our foremost concern is the wellbeing of all your children, so working closely with parents we can give your child continuity when moving from your home to mine

I have recently had my ofsted inspection in July 2023 and I was graded GOOD which I am very happy with. I love My job I would not change it for the world, all children become apart of our family.
My Experience
My main experience is from being a mum and an Auntie, but I have also been a childminder for nearly 12 years, I also did some voluntary work at Carlton hill play group. I love being with my Son’s daughter's and step daughter and Nephews and niece’s watching them grow and develop. I am a very caring person; I am warm and friendly with a welcoming aroma and general happy personality.
I am aware of the importance to keep all the children and babies in my care happy, healthy, safe and secure. I provide a caring and sensitive approach to the way I look after all children in my care, with a lot of fun and laughter. Listening to them is very important in gaining more of an insight to their needs and emotions.
All children i currently care for always arrive happy and leave with a smile they become part of our family and treated like one of my own.
My Qualifications
Pediatric first aid certificate,
CRB checked (this includes me and my Husband )
Safe guarding children training,
Full public liability insurance
Fully comprehensive Octagon car insurance for childminding,
Food Hygiene graded 5
The early years foundation stage statutory requirement audit workshop
Prevent duty level 2
My Availability
I am available Mondays -Fridays 7am - 6pm i am very flexible so if later times are needed please don't hesitate to ask me i can adapt to suit parents needs. Time and a half will be charged before 8am and after 6pm.
I do not work Saturdays or Sunday's
I can offer drop off and pick ups from your home if needed.
I do Pick up and Drop offs at schools, nurseries, and after school clubs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
Fees to be discussed depending on days and times
Hourly rate starts from £4.50 depending on hours needed. The more hours the lower the hourly rate. Time and a half is added before 9 and after 5pm Please message for quotes. I look forward to hearing from you and will reply as soon as I can.

Maria looked after my youngest son for around 2 years. I work in the hospital local to her and I had really struggled to find anyone to look after him after relocating. As soon as I walked in I knew she was the right person to look after him. I have no family close by to help me so she was a god send and she went above and beyond to look after him and me! She truly loved him like one of her own and I’d highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you 🙏🏻

Maria is my life saver, my youngest absolutely loves spending time with her and they do all sorts of activities, my daughter has autism and I was finding this very difficult being a working mum but Maria has made that so much easier and my daughter has come on so much since being with her, would absolutely recommend to anyone

Thank you so much for your review it’s been amazing supporting your daughter, watching her grow and develop and i look forward to spending more time with her until she goes to full time school.
Having to find childcare on short notice was such a daunting task but Maria made it so much easier. Her communication was fantastic and she went out of her way to fit our family's needs. My daughter absolutely loves going to spend the day with Maria and her family. Maria made an extremely stressful situation into a blessing and I'm so glad we found her to take care of our daughter. Would recommend to anyone.

Thank you so much it’s a pleasure to care for your daughter, she is like part of the family already my children adore her. I’m happy you felt comfortable and your daughter has settled very quickly. As a mother myself and returning to work before I was a childminder I know how hard it is for a parent and child when returning to work and having to leave your little one it can be upsetting. I’m very happy that your are happy as a parent leaving your child in my care with me and my family we look forward to all the good memories we make xx
Couldn't ask for a better minder for my 18 month old! Going back to work was so nerve racking because I didn't want to leave my son, but ria is so down to earth and honestly one of the nicest, genuine people I know, I felt really comfortable with leaving my boy, he always has a great time and has plenty of fruit which is great, if ria can help with anything she will, she's become a lot more than just a childminder within a few months, would highly recommend!

As a parent myself returning to work having to leave my baby before I became a childminder was one of the hardest and upsetting things I have ever had to do, so I know how hard that can be. Maria has been my childminder for my 19 month old son for a couple of months and I couldn't be happier with her service. My son has took to her brilliantly and always comes home happy. I would recommend her highly to anyone who is looking for a nanny. She takes time to give detail on my child's day and even provides photos which is a great ease as a first time mum to leave my child in someone else's care we couldn't ask for a better nanny
