About Me
I am an established Childminder and Foster Carer who has worked as a childcare provider in Shefford for over 30 years where I have always lived. I live with my husband and we have 5 children aged between 21-37years, 1 of which lives at home. We also have 2 long term foster children living with us.
I provide childcare in a fun loving family environment that gives 'home from home' care as well as supporting your child's learning and development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). During my last inspection Ofsted awarded me an Outstanding which I feel accurately reflects the care I provide.
The children in my care benefit from a wide range of activities and trips out which enables them to learn through play and first hand experiences. Examples of regular things we do are; going to toddler groups, messy play, rhyme time at the library and soft play areas. In addition to this we also do lots of outdoors activities like going to the park, exploring in the woods and visiting the farm. I also offer many different activities in my home which I plan according to the EYFS and within this we do various art, craft and messy activities as well as cooking and planting. All of the children's experiences are recorded in their own individual books which show the children's progress through photos and observations.

My Experience
Having had five of my own children and through fostering and childminding others for over 30 years I have a huge amount of experience of caring for children. Over the years through these different areas of childcare my experience has continually developed as has my understanding of the varying needs of children and their families.
My Qualifications
As a childminder I always ensure I am up to date with current legislation to continually better my practice. I have passed my NVQ Level 3 in Children's care, Learning and Development. Other examples of certificates I hold are:

My Availability
I provide care for children of all ages and abilities. My current working day is from 7am-7pm although these hours are flexible.
I offer part time or full time places all year round/ term time only or school holidays only.

I feel that my fees are very reasonable and I offer sibling discount.
