About Me
My name is Wendy I share my home with my husband Terry who is also on my certificate of registration as my assistant, we have twin boys ; Jim and Jack who are 5 and a half. We have 2 yellow Labradors called Lloyd and Marshall who are very loveable, they have there own house in the garden with there own space but they love spending time with Children. We also have 2 cats who are shy so we dont see them much but they do pop home to be fed and have a cuddle. Im in my fourth year of childminding but feel I have gained a wealth of knowledge in childcare in this short time, I thoroughly enjoy my role and feel I have a great enthusiasm for childrens care and development!
My Experience
I aim to provide a good quality service which takes account of the National Care Standards; Early education and childcare up to the age of 16 and work within the law relating to child-minding. I have a keen interest in the education and development of children so would endeavour to work with you in developing your child, through personal plans and on going feedback and communication.
My Qualifications
I have completed training with the scottish child minding association, where we trained on introduction to childminding, professional approach, meeting the needs of children, environment, raising awareness of child protection and first aid, and a partnership with parents. I have also recently attended training in continuing professional development and Keeping children safe and healthy. I also completed my paediatric first aid just under 2 years ago.
My Availability
I am flexable with my availability but generally would be available monday to friday 8am - 6pm.
